CENTENNIAL WINDOWS CELEBRATES 25 YEARS IN LONDON WITH THE OPENING OF A STATE-OF-THE-ART SHOWROOM
London based Centennial Windows, one of Canada's leading window manufacturers, is celebrating their 25th year in business and has just opened a totally updated showroom here in the city. Centennial was founded in London in 1981 as a home based business with just a couple of employees. Today London is still head office to the corporation, but it now has nine locations throughout the province and over a hundred and fifty employees, over a hundred of whom are based in and around London. In 2005, the company made a long-term commitment to the city of London with the construction of its new window and door manufacturing facility on Sovereign Road.
Centennial is best known for its innovations in the replacement window industry and the new showroom is designed to showcase the latest technology in both windows and doors. Centennial not only manufactures a line of products that combine comfort and convenience (i.e. easy cleaning!) with energy efficiency, but goes on to provide installation of those products with their own technicians. They do not sell through contractors or distributors, but work directly with the homeowner designing and manufacturing every order individually. Because Centennial both manufactures and installs their windows and doors, the company is able to offer a comprehensive warranty on everything they sell for as long as you own the home'. In 2004, Centennial made headlines all across Canada and the USA by becoming the first window company to be recognized as ENERGY STAR® Manufacturer of the Year, no small accomplishment for a London company when you consider that previous winners have included worldwide companies such as Panasonic. Since then they have also been named ENERGY STAR Retailer of the Year, in part for developing a 2005 joint promotion with Union Gas to promote energy efficiency.
The new totally updated showroom is on the site of Centennial's old manufacturing plant at 1161 Florence Street. It features the latest designs in window and door technology including Centennial's award winning double glazed windows and Centennial's latest state of the art Krypton gas filled triple glazed windows. Every window on display meets the Canadian ENERGY STAR qualifications, required for Ontario, and in fact goes on to meet the requirements for installation as far north as the North Pole. Hi-tech features are simply explained with the help of LCD monitors while customers can view 27 different colours and dozens of other design options that can be built into today's Centennial window systems. Centennial is also unveiling its new line of super energy efficient fibreglass entry door systems. These doors are available pre-finished in 27 colours to match your windows and even come with an optional wood grain effect. Visitors to the showroom will find it a perfect place to learn what to look for in high quality, high efficiency windows and for those who are seriously interested in learning how their new windows will be made, Centennial is offering passes for an exclusive personal tour of their manufacturing plant.
