Centennial Windows recognized with the prestigious
2008 ENERGY STAR Award for Sustained Excellence!
Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency within Natural Resources Canada presented its highest award of ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence to Centennial Windows Ltd. in a ceremony held on 4 June 2008 in Ottawa. This award recognizes the company’s products and its long-standing commitment to energy efficiency. This commitment addresses the challenges of climate change, most notably, reducing energy waste and the demand for household heating and air conditioning, which in turn results in reductions in smog pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions.

The award category of Sustained Excellence was introduced in 2003 to pay special tribute to organizations that have demonstrated a long-term commitment to energy conservation, and that are using the ENERGY STAR symbol to support their work: previous award winners include Whirlpool Canada Inc. and B.C. Hydro.
"Centennial Windows was the first window company in Canada to promote and sell ENERGY STAR qualified windows. It achieves consistently high ratings in ENERGY STAR certification tests, and has helped create strong demand for energy-efficient replacement windows in its market area,” said Carol Buckley, Director General, Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE).
“Centennial Windows takes advantage of every opportunity to display the ENERGY STAR symbol on its product and marketing materials, and regularly offers customer rebates and other incentives for installing ENERGY STAR qualified windows. After winning two previous ENERGY STAR Recognition Awards - as Manufacturer of the Year in 2004 and Retailer of the Year in 2005 - it's now time to acknowledge Centennial Windows as a true energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR leader.”
