The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards honour outstanding Canadians who have turned their unique business vision into successful reality. Presented in over 50 countries, and now in its 17th year in Canada, Entrepreneur Of The Year is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurs who’ve accomplished great things didn’t just dream about being successful,” says Colleen McMorrow, National Director of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards. “They set out to realize those dreams, and never stopped until they reached their potential or went beyond. From being a beacon of hope during tough times, to guiding us on the road to prosperity, entrepreneurs have made revolutionary and lasting changes in many aspects of our lives.”

“Centennial Windows is more than just a successful family business it’s a business where all of us are family and it shows in everything we do”, explains George Warren, President and 2010 nominee. “I guess we don’t even recognize we’re entrepreneurs until someone points it out to us, and to be recognized by this prestigious nomination through Ernst & Young is one of the highlights of my career” continued Warren.

“Canadians consistently show talent for developing unique business ideas, and this fresh thinking translates into promising business prospects,” notes McMorrow. “Through our global Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program, we hope our country’s brightest innovators can reach and inspire businesses throughout the world.”

To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must be an owner/manager of a private or public organization who is primarily responsible for the company’s recent performance and an active member of top management. The nominee’s organization must be at least three years old.

The Ontario Awards Banquet will be held in Toronto on October 13th, 2010 and the national banquet again in Toronto on November 17th, 2010.
