Centennials Founder carries the Olympic Torch

Terry Lee, the founder of Centennial Windows, was selected as a Torchbearer in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. The Torch Relay is traveling all across Canada, for a distance of over 45,000 kilometres and is visiting over 1000 communities. Terry carried the Torch on December 24 as it entered London, along Wellington Road towards downtown London.
“This was a huge honour for me and probably one of the most exciting moments of my life.” said Lee. “I have always felt that the spirit of the Olympics with its ability to bring the World together every couple of years, peacefully and with a focus on youth and sport, above conflict, is something very special. When I carried the torch, I knew I was holding the symbol of the hopes and dreams of athletes, their trainers and their families from all over the World. And I know how lucky I am to be a part of this great event.”
Terry Lee’s 300 metre segment began on Wellington Road near the Crabby Joe’s Restaurant, South of Commissioners Road in London at 2:48 on Christmas Eve…which just happened to be Terry’s birthday! The Torch Relay can be followed live at http://www.ctvolympics.ca/torch/follow-torch/index.html
